Previously we had been ...

Previously we had been to the Wigwam Resort for a company banquet and were amazed. It is a lovely resort with beautiful architecture and carefully manicured landscaping. The staff provide top notch service and are very helpful. However, we had not previously dined at Litchfield's. So today we decided to have dinner there for our anniversary. We ordered the charcuterie board for our appetizer. I love cheese so I enjoyed the board. My wife ordered a cucumber margarita and she said it was delicious. We both ordered steaks, she the filet and I the ribeye. These were cooked to perfection. I hardly ever get my steak cooked exactly how I order it, so I was pleasantly surprised. My wife enjoyed her filet and the gouda mac and cheese that came with it. So why the three star review? My steak was overly salted. As I watched the chef add salt to other guests' steaks I was surprised at the amount of salt he added. The gouda mac and cheese was delicious. However, it was a very small portion. For the amount of money we paid for our dinner, I do not believe it was an adequate amount of food. We were given a choice of three different desserts and went with the chocolate cake. We were not charged for it as I assume it was on the house for our anniversary. It was very nice of them and we were grateful for it. It was a bit too sweet for us but maybe others with a sweeter tooth would enjoy it. I cannot say anything negative about the staff as they were attentive and courteous. I would like to return, but this time for a stay staycation instead.

Food is mediocre, but ...

Food is mediocre, but the drinks are really good. Our waitress Colleen was AWESOME!! If they had a happy hour and better appetizers I would return. Self parking is free and not to far of a walk from the restaurant.
